Acrowars

Acrowars is an acronym word game based on acrophobia. A random sequence of letters, an acronym, is shown to all players. The players must come up with a sentence from these letters. Players then vote for their favourite sentence, and the player with the most votes after 10 rounds wins the game.
For example the game may throw up the letters 'IHIE'. To which you might type 'I hate Internet Explorer'. The other players will come up with their own sentences based on the given letters and then when the time is up all the players vote for the sentence they like the best.
This is a clever game but beware - player sentences often tend towards the scatological!

Acrowars is indeed cool though off late it has been rather slow. There are a few others out there too - acrony, acronym game and acrobabble. Acrobabble (http://acrobabble.com) has a really nice interface (Flash based) and is much closer to the original acrophobia.
